What does a typical VeraEasyStart call look like?

Each call with a Vera expert is a personalized experience and typically lasts one hour. Your expert will start by learning more about your products, where you are in your process of getting set up, and what you want to accomplish– do you want to optimize your home for security, or create an automated house for more convenience, or both?

Your Vera expert will work with you to patiently explain every how-to step, and test the end result. You can expect additional advice such as learning about the optimal distance between your controller and devices so that your Wi-Fi signal is strong.

If you’re interested, your Vera expert will recommend smart home solutions and create a personalized list of smart home products to make it easy for you to grow your Vera system.

What do I need to be ready with, prior to the VeraEasyStart appointment?

We ask you about your products and situation prior to the call to prepare and ensure efficiency—so it’s ideal to provide all the information that we request prior to the appointment.

We recommend that you have your Wi-Fi network set up and password handy. Having great Wi-Fi is essential for any smart home. However, for setup it is most efficient and recommended to connect your controller to the Internet via an Ethernet cable.

What devices does this cover?

VeraEasyStart covers device pairing for devices listed on our Works with Vera list.

Note: When it comes to devices in our Works with Vera list, we urge you to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installation. If you are not comfortable working with electricity, please contact an electrician. For electricians or handyman services, we cannot make a recommendation. We suggest that you use a rating service like Yelp.com and look for good reviews from reputable websites or personal references.

What hours are your agents available?

A VeraEasyStart Agent will reach out to you to schedule your appointment.
Your appointment may be scheduled between 10:00PM – 3:00PM Pacific, 7 Days per week.

Sessions are scheduled at least 24 hours in advance to allow our experts to prepare for your call.

What does “satisfaction guaranteed” really mean?

If you are not completely satisfied with VeraEasyStart we will refund your money.
